- Can you help me with the visa?
Most countries can get visa upon arrival. Ask us for more information.
- What countries do not need a visa for Iran?
Citizens of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bolivia, China, Egypt, Georgia, Hong Kong, Lebanon, Malaysia, Oman, Syria, Turkey, and Venezuela can enter Iran without a visa.
- What countries cannot get visa on arrival?
Citizens of Afghanistan, Somali, Yemen, Pakistan, Colombia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Jordan, Canada, United Kingdom, United States, Iraq and Nepal cannot get a visa on arrival and should get their visa by referring to an Iranian embassy or consulate before entering Iran.
- Do you provide pick-up service?
Sure! We need your flight details to arrange pick-up service for you which costs 30 euros. (Normally, it takes something between 1-2 hours for issuing your visa upon arrival, Hence if our drivers wait for you more than 2 hours you will be charged an additional 20% fee.)
- Do you accept credit cards?
Unfortunately, because of sanctions, credit cards are not usable in Iran and all payments need to be in cash. We accept EUR, USD and Iranian Rials.
- What do I need to bring to check-in?
We need your passport along with a valid Iranian visa.
- What time is the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is at 2:00pm on arrival day and check out is before 12:00am on the departure day. (Late check out may be possible, within extra charge.)
- Is there any dress code?
Women must wear a headscarf and loose-fitting clothes, while men should avoid wearing shorts. There are no color restrictions.
- What is Iranian currency?
It is called Iranian Rial (IR). You may come across the word ‘Toman’ there. 10 Rials = 1 Toman.
People often use Toman, except for some special cases.
- Can I use my mobile internet in Iran?
If you have a mobile phone from other countries, it will not work in Iran unless your phone company has made a contract with Iranian Telecommunication Company (ITC).
- How far is Famouri House from the subway?
We are just 10 minutes’ walk away from Teatr-e Shahr metro station, from which you can access everywhere in Tehran.
- Is it possible to add extra bed or mattress to a room?
Yes! We charge you 10 Euros for each additional mattress per night.
- Can my friends or family visit me?
To ensure our high level of security for our guests, no outside guests are allowed to walk inside the House. You can always use the beautiful café space.
- Is breakfast free?
Yes! A light Iranian breakfast with a cup of tea/coffee will be included on the services-for free!
- Is there internet connection in the House?
Yes, you will have access to free WiFi everywhere in the House.
- Are there laundry facilities?
Yes! We have laundry service and drying facilities upon request.
- Do you provide towels?
You need to have your personal stuff as towel or tooth brush. However, hair dryers and iron will be there for you to use.
